Reliance Industries, Partners Announce $11 Billion Boost for India’s AI Data Infrastructure

In a bold and ambitious step, Reliance Industries, via its joint venture Digital Connexion, has committed $11 billion to build a massive AI‑ready data‑centre campus in Visakhapatnam, in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.  The plan is to build a 1 gigawatt (GW) data‑centre complex over 400 acres of land. The project targets completion by 2030.  At a time when demand for AI, cloud computing, and digital services is exploding globally and in India, this investment could shift the ground for India’s digital infrastructure.
